Paris-based foodtech startup Yacon & Co., which produces sugar-free spreads and sweeteners using yacon syrup, has raised €2.5 million in funding from Crédit Agricole CIB, UI Investissement, and Kima Ventures.
- Founded in 2021 by Raphaella Nolleau, Thierry Barrier, and Clément Poyade, Yacon & Co produces sugar-free spreads and sweeteners using yacon syrup.
- The syrup is extracted from the yacon root grown in Peru, is rich in fiber, and has no impact on blood sugar levels.
- The company operates a 3,000 m² factory in Peru where the products are made, and sells primarily across Europe. Their products include chocolate and hazelnut spreads and flavored yacon syrup.

- The investors include over 454 individual backers through Sowefund, institutional investors UI Investissement, Groupe Crédit Agricole, Kima Ventures, and 50 Partners, as well as supporters Jean de La Rochebrochard, Loïc, Mikael, Sébastien, Benjamin, Jérôme, and Lucile.
