Top women from VC and startup ecosystem in Iceland

Vestbee continues its exploration of the global startup and venture capital scene, highlighting inspiring female entrepreneurs driving business development. Previously, we surveyed countries like FranceItalyFinlandDenmarkBelgiumAustria, and Portugal. Despite being small in size, Iceland's startup ecosystem is expanding, reaching a total of $207 million across 19 funding rounds in 2023 — up from the previous year's $170 million. This growth is supported by local VC fundsaccelerators, and incubators.

Here, Vestbee presents a list of the female startup founders and co-founders, CEOs and CTOs, Founding, and Managing Partners at funds from Iceland. To compile it, we first examined the VC funds that are most active in Iceland. We also researched female-led startups that are deeply involved in the ecosystem's development. Additionally, we gathered open-source information from datasets of several DaaS platforms, including Dealroom.co and Crunchbase, as well as LinkedIn. This allowed us to create a thorough list of the most engaged female contributors to the startup and VC ecosystem in Iceland. Below is the result.
