London-based startup TILKI uses AI to create personalized, dynamic video games tailored to each player’s imagination and input, has raised $2.2 million in a pre-seed round led by Twin Path Ventures.
- Launched in 2024, TILKI is an AI-powered game creation platform that enables creators to build immersive, dynamic video games without coding experience.
- TILKI uses AI to generate evolving gameplay where non-player characters (NPCs) make autonomous decisions and player actions have lasting effects on the game world.
- The firm employs a team of 17, and its platform operates on three layers: a creator’s overall game vision, a record of all player events per session, and individual player histories, allowing for endless, personalized interactions and multiplayer or solo experiences.
Details of the deal
- The pre-seed round was led by Twin Path Ventures, a London-based pre-seed deep-tech fund, with support from Atlas Sgr, XTX Ventures, and SFC Capital.
“The strength of TILKI’s team was a key factor in our investment. The blend of experience they bring – from gaming and AI to mathematics and product development – struck us as unique, and we’re confident it will be instrumental in realising their vision,” claims Nick Slater, Partner at Twin Path Ventures.
- The company will use the new funding to develop and launch its closed beta in six months, roll out an open beta within a year, and establish a marketplace for players to share and collaborate on game components.
