Paris startup Solarock secures €7M to revolutionize solar energy access in France

Paris-based energytech startup Solarock, which offers solar solutions for homes and small businesses, has secured €7 million in funding to enhance its R&D and scale its franchise model across France.

  • Launched in 2023 by Laure Crémieux, Benjamin Barnathan, and Joseph-Marie Valleix, Solarock specializes in the installation of solar panels for residential and small business clients.
  • Solarock offers a full-service approach that includes project assessment, equipment selection, installation, and ongoing support.
  • The company uses certified, high-quality solar products and integrates energy storage and monitoring systems to optimize production and consumption.
  •  Solarock’s operational model relies on local agencies to deliver installations efficiently while maintaining technical standards. Financing options are provided to facilitate customer access to solar energy solutions.

Details of the deal

  • The investment saw support from Malmö-based VC Pale Blue Dot, Noa, Paris-based Ring Capital, and Kima Ventures.
  • Solarock will use the funding to scale its franchise model across France, support local entrepreneurs, and enhance its R&D. This includes developing advanced monitoring and smart control systems to improve energy efficiency and autonomy for households and SMEs.

"This fundraising will enable us to scale this success nationally. With only 3 per cent per cent of homes equipped for self-consumption, out of more than 13 million compatible homes, the French residential solar market represents a potential of over €200 billion – we have a bright future ahead of us," CEO and co-founder of Solarock, Laure Crémieux, commented.
