Stockholm-based startup Techarena, which develops an entrepreneurship platform and hosts events and competitions to showcase startups and connect innovators across the Nordic region, has raised €1 million in funding.
- Techarena was founded in 2014 by Omid Ekhlasi and develops a platform that connects entrepreneurs, investors, and business leaders through tech events, competitions, and international programs.
- The platform has grown rapidly, engaging over 18,000 participants from more than 120 countries in the past year alone. It helps startups showcase their products, access funding, and build networks across the Nordic region and internationally.
Details of the deal
- The investment was made by BackingMinds, a Swedish-based venture capital firm that invests in customer-focused businesses with proven revenue and seeks entrepreneurs outside traditional networks.
