Helsinki-based deal sourcing platform Inven has secured $12.75 million in a Series A funding round led by Ventech and Vendep Capital, with participation from Lifeline Ventures and Joint Effects.
- Founded in 2022 by Niilo Pirttijärvi, Tommi Kupiainen, and Ekku Jokinen, Inven is an AI-based deal sourcing platform targeting inefficiencies in the private market.
- The platform collects and analyzes data on 21 million companies from multiple sources to help M&A teams identify potential deals more quickly.
- By continuously updating and filtering this data, Inven aims to replace slow, manual processes with an automated system that highlights relevant opportunities and provides predictive insights to support decision-making in a rapidly changing market.
- To date, over 700 firms across the US and Europe, including Fortune 500 companies, top investment banks, and leading private equity firms, use Inven.

Details of the deal
- The Series A funding round was led by Vendep Capital, a leading Nordic investor specializing in B2B SaaS, and Ventech, a pan-European early-stage venture capital firm known for backing tech startups with global ambitions and having made over 200 investments, including recently insurtech Korint.
- Angel investor Risto Siilasmaa, founder of F-Secure and former Chair of Nokia, also participated, alongside existing backers Lifeline Ventures and Joint Effects.
- The firm plans to use the fresh $12.75 million funding to double or triple its headcount over the next 12 to 18 months, expanding its AI engineering, product development, and customer success teams.
