Stockholm-based startup IPercept, which uses AI to predict CNC machine issues without added sensors, has secured €5 million in funding led by Luminar Ventures.
- IPercept was founded in 2019 by Andreas Archenti and Karoly Szipka. The company develops an AI-powered system that helps manufacturers monitor CNC machines' health without adding new sensors.
- It connects to the machines' existing controllers and uses smart algorithms to detect signs of wear, misalignment, or other issues before they lead to breakdowns.
- The system is easy to install, compatible with any machine brand, and provides clear, actionable insights to help maintenance teams take timely action.
- According to the company, IPercept improves factory performance with 30% better efficiency, 10% savings on maintenance, and insights within 7 days. It also reduces downtime by 50%, cuts scheduled maintenance by 40%, and delivers a 10–30x ROI in just a few weeks.
