Delaware-based startup Clearly, which delivers AI-driven mental health care, has raised $1.35 million in a seed funding round to further develop its unique AI model and expand into new markets, as Vestbee was told.
- Founded in 2021 by Dmytro Marakhovskiy and Dmytro Kovalenko, Clearly develops an AI-driven mental health platform that combines video sessions with licensed therapists, 24/7 AI companions, and standalone AI therapy.
- The platform matches users with certified therapists through a short questionnaire and allows convenient chat and session booking. It serves both individuals and businesses, providing personalized psychological care and employee wellness solutions.
- Clearly operates with over 1,000 active therapists worldwide and facilitates more than 20,000 therapy sessions monthly. The company is finalizing its standalone AI therapy product and plans to increase research and development to support further growth.
Details of the deal
- The round was led by Purple Ventures, a Brno-based venture capital firm, contributing $700,000. Last year, the firm launched its second fund, totaling €40 million, and plans to continue investing in startups from the CEE region with teams across the European Union.
"Clearly offers a modern tech-driven solution with the potential to make psychological care widely accessible. We believe the mental health market has immense potential, which is why this is one of our largest investments,” claims Jan Staněk, Managing Partner at Purple Ventures.
- The fresh capital also received support from Pragmatech Ventures, angel investor Dmytro Orel, and $150,000 in non-equity grants.
- The firm will use the fresh capital to further develop its AI therapy model, expand into new markets, especially the US Spanish-speaking community and Brazil, double its research and development budget, and scale its network of licensed therapists for rapid global growth.
