Magdeburg-based firm RAYDIAX has secured €7.5 million in funding, including €5 million in venture capital from existing business angels and investors, along with €2.5 million from the European Commission’s EIC Accelerator program.
- Established in 2022 by Dr. Thomas Hoffmann and a team of researchers from Otto von Guericke University Magdeburg and the STIMULATE research campus, RAYDIAX develops the therapy-assistance CT system “TACT” for minimally invasive cancer interventions.
- The system combines high-resolution 3D multislice CT imaging with large-area 2D angiography in a compact footprint, allowing fast modality switching and continuous procedural monitoring. With a one-meter free inner diameter and a free-floating patient table, TACT supports ergonomic operation, expanded access for surgical robots, and optimized radiation dose for patients and clinical staff.
- The platform includes a specialized API for closed-loop control and full graphical interface integration, enabling precise, telemanipulated, and robotic interventions.

- The round saw backing from bmp Ventures, IBG Fonds, GETEC Family Office, HTGF | High-Tech Gründerfonds, and the European Innovation Council Accelerator.
- RAYDIAX plans to use the fresh €7.5 million to conduct first-in-human studies of its therapy assistance CT “TACT,” generate early clinical evidence, advance the system toward series maturity, and build sales, production, and quality structures ahead of market launch.
