British-Ukrainian defence tech startup Occam Industries has raised €3.8 million. This is the company's second closed deal this year, which brings its total funding to €7 million, The Defender reports.
- Founded by Gui Wainwright and Daniil Bash, Occam Industries operates from London and Kyiv. Its hardware-agnostic software can be integrated into existing UAVs without redesigning their physical structure.
- Its first product, Occam Ambush, provides autonomous detection, tracking, and targeting and is already deployed on the serial FVP drone in Ukraine. The startup works with four major Ukrainian drone manufacturers and 12 Armed Forces units, while finalizing agreements with undisclosed European partners.
- According to Occam Industries, operating across the UK and Ukraine gives it a strategic advantage: the company develops with sovereign bodies and defence partners outside Ukraine.
- Occam Industries is also developing guidance software for interceptor drones and autonomy solutions for reconnaissance, mine-laying, and deep-strike target matching.
Details of the deal
- In February 2026, Occam Industries raised a €3 million pre-seed round led by Presto Tech Horizons. At the same time, the startup had been cleared for integration testing by Ukraine's defence tech cluster Brave1.
- The recent round was led by Denmark's North Ventures, joined by Sparkmind and Grenadyr. Existing investors Anthler, Presto Tech Horizons, TYR, and Freedom Fund also reinvested.
- The fresh funding will support product development, deployment, and the expansion of Occam Industries' Ukrainian engineering team. The startup plans to hire at least 10 specialists by the end of 2026.
