Stockholm-based Intric, a sovereign AI platform for securely creating and managing AI assistants, has raised €3.8 million in a pre-seed round led by byFounders, with participation from ten European and Swedish investors.
- Founded in 2021, Intric is a Swedish startup that develops a sovereign AI platform designed for public sector organizations and regulated industries. The platform enables organizations to build, deploy, and manage AI agents and digital assistants while maintaining full control over data, models, and user access.
- Intric’s software is currently used by over 60 organizations across Sweden, Norway, Finland, and Germany, with more than 5,000 AI agents in production. Users can create AI assistants to automate workflows, handle recurring tasks, and connect to existing systems and data, allowing teams to work more efficiently without compromising regulatory compliance.
- The platform provides control over AI models, roles and permissions, data storage, and usage insights, and can be deployed on-premises or in the cloud. Its functionality includes multimodal input, chat and voice interfaces, document and visual analysis, and integration with internal systems via APIs.
"We believe everyone, from small municipalities, to government agencies, to regulated industries, should have access to the latest advances in AI development, without having to compromise on regulatory requirements, data security and ownership. That’s why we’re focusing on providing an easy-to-use, sovereign AI platform that enables organisations to build, share, and deploy tailored AI agents and assistants across teams and departments on their own terms," Intric's team, commented on LinkedIn.
Details of the deal
- With the €3.8 million pre-seed funding, Intric plans to expand its implementation and support teams to help more organizations adopt the platform, deepen partnerships with public sector and regulated industry organizations across Europe, and continue developing the platform alongside users to ensure AI remains accessible while meeting strict data security and regulatory requirements.
"Super excited to share the news of our latest funding round. This marks a milestone, outlines that what we are doing is important, and gives us the tools to achieve it. Insanely psyched for the journey ahead," claims Jonatan Cerwall, CTO and co-founder at Intric.
