London-based GHO Capital, a European specialist in global healthcare investing, has completed the final close of its fourth fund, GHO Capital IV LP, raising over €2.5 billion and bringing total assets under management to approximately €9 billion.

  • Global Healthcare Opportunities, including investment manager GHO Capital Management Limited and investment advisor GHO Capital Partners Advisory Ltd., is a specialist healthcare investment firm founded in 2014 by Mike Mortimer, Alan MacKay, and Andrea Ponti.
  • The firm targets high-growth healthcare companies in Europe with global expansion potential, focusing on sub-sectors such as outsourced services, pharma/biotech, medtech, and patient services.
  • Its strategy centers on building vertically integrated platforms, driving operational excellence, and pursuing strategic add-on acquisitions to create long-term sustainable value.
  • With a portfolio spanning over 200 locations and 19 transatlantic and global platforms, GHO has completed more than 100 transactions, including investments in Envision Pharma Group, Sterling Pharma Solutions, Validant, Ardena, and Genesis Research.
  • GHO Capital’s Fund IV will be used to invest in European healthcare companies with global growth potential across sectors such as biopharma, medtech, and healthtech. The fund aims to scale companies into larger platforms, support operational improvements, and pursue add-on acquisitions, while expanding GHO’s transatlantic presence and strengthening leadership within its portfolio.
  • The new fund saw backing from existing investors, over 30 new institutional investors across Europe, North America, Asia Pacific, and the Middle East, with fundraising support from Rede Partners and Kirkland & Ellis.

“We are witnessing a golden era of healthcare innovation, driven by the convergence of advanced science, digital technologies, and data. We are grateful for the trust from both existing and new investors as we partner with world-class management teams to build the next generation of healthcare leaders," commented GHO Capital Managing Partners Mike Mortimer, Alan Mackay, and Andrea Ponti.
