Milan-based company Finanz, which teaches financial literacy and investing through a mobile app, has secured €700,000 in a pre-seed funding round from several business angels, including senior executives from Amazon, Amundi, Rothschild & Co, and Fundsgate.
- Founded in 2022 by Lorenzo Perotta, Andrea Pasini, Matteo Spreafico, and Matteo Longoni, Finanz is a fintech and edutech startup focused on financial education and investment management.
- The company develops a mobile platform that delivers personalized five-minute-a-day lessons to help users save, manage expenses, and invest. Its app provides tailored learning paths based on users’ financial habits and goals, combining short lessons, interactive quizzes, and video courses led by industry professionals.
"We started by bringing financial education into Italian schools, organising over 100 assemblies for students and teachers. Today, we want to directly address a problem that affects millions of Europeans, not just the younger generations, by helping everyone learn how to save and invest, one step at a time," claims Lorenzo Perotta, CEO of Finanz.
- Finanz also offers a B2B solution, the Finanz API, which allows banks and fintechs to integrate its educational and investment tools into their services, guiding users from basic financial literacy to confident, independent investment decisions.
Details of the deal
- Finanz will use the €700,000 to grow its user base in Europe, add new app features, develop its B2B Finanz API for banks and fintechs, and expand the team in technology, product, and design to support platform development.
