Östermalm-based construction tech startup Endra, which develops an end-to-end AI platform for MEP design, has raised €3 million in a pre-seed funding round led by Norrsken VC, with support from several business angels.
- Endra was founded in 2023 by Niklas Lindgren, Anton Juric, Gustav Hammarlund, and David Rydberg. The company develops an AI-powered platform designed to automate the design and documentation of Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems in buildings.
- Traditionally reliant on manual processes and legacy software, MEP design has remained one of the more stagnant areas of the construction industry. Endra’s platform addresses this gap by using generative AI to streamline tasks such as system layout, device placement, routing, and compliance documentation.
- The system allows engineers to input models or tender documents and automatically generate a full set of deliverables, significantly reducing the time and resources required.
“In MEP design, a huge amount of time is still spent on repetitive, low-value tasks. Design & Build firms want to deploy AI to stay competitive, but they have very limited options. We’re enabling them to focus on what really matters, while our platform handles the rest. We’re measuring productivity increases in multiples, not percentages," claims Anton Juric, co-founder and COO of Endra.
Details of the deal
- Endra’s €3 million pre-seed round was led by Swedish VC firm Norrsken VC and joined by industry angels including Maximilian Viessmann, Johan Edenström, Simon De Château, the Höglund brothers, and Oljibe Invest.
- The firm will use the pre-seed funding to accelerate product development, expand its AI platform capabilities, grow its team, and support its planned market expansion into the US, UK, and Germany over the next two years.
