Dutch startup ANTENNEX secures €1.5M to expand operational and commercial activities worldwide

Dutch startup ANTENNEX has secured €1.5 million in a seed funding round. It provides tools to measure and check how well antennas work with wireless connectors in over-the-air tests at very high frequencies.

  • Founded in 2021 by Anouk Hubrechsen, Roel Budé, Teun van den Biggelaar, and Tim Stek, ANTENNEX emerged as a spinoff from the Eindhoven University of Technology. The company specializes in advanced, compact measurement systems that utilize reverberation-chamber technology for next-generation wireless applications in sectors like telecommunications, automotive, aerospace, and defense.
  • ANTENNEX develops The Wireless Connector™, which integrates proprietary hardware with smart algorithms to simplify complex measurements. This product features a built-in calibration module and intuitive controls, providing a faster and more accurate alternative to traditional anechoic chambers. Operating in the 10–140 GHz range, The Wireless Connector™ is well-suited for advancing future technologies in wireless communication, autonomous radar, and sensing.

Details of the deal

"With their new technology, Antennex is able to measure antennas with high accuracy and speed. Providing faster time to market and high product quality for critical devices and infrastructure in various markets, like telecom, automotive, defence and aerospace," Managing Partner at VCC, Ronald Wissink, stated.

  • Antennex will use the seed funding to scale operations, enhance its Wireless Connector™ product, and pursue international growth in key markets like telecom, automotive, and aerospace.

“This investment allows us to expand our operational and commercial activities for customers worldwide. VCC and BOM bring an enormous added value in developing our company because of their backgrounds in the RF and test and measurement domains. We are happy to welcome them as a shareholder in our company," CEO of Antennex, Anouk Hubrechsen, said.
