Lithuanian firm Tingit secures €1.5M to expand AI-based repair platform in Europe

Vilnius-based fashion repairs marketplace Tingit, which streamlines the repair process with fast quotes and convenient logistics, has secured €1.5 million to expand its AI-powered platform and encourage durable, digital-first ownership.

  • Founded in 2024 by Indrė Viltrakytė, Tadas Maslauskas, and Robertas Kalinkinas, Tingit operates a digital platform that provides repair services for shoes, bags, clothing, and other personal items.
  • The platform allows users to upload a short video of a damaged item, receive an AI-generated repair quote, and ship the item to a nearby drop-off point using a label provided by the service. Tingit’s network of repair specialists completes the work, typically within 7–10 days, after which the restored item is ready for collection.
  • The platform also offers footwear and leather care products, authentication tools, and options to track the lifecycle of items, resell them, or recycle them at the end of their usable life.
  • In 2024, the firm raised €500,000 in a pre-seed round from FIRSTPICK and BADideas.fund, PurposeTech, and HEARTFELT_ to launch the Service Provider Gateway, allowing repair specialists to offer their services independently.

Details of the deal

  • The round was led by Coinvest Capital, with participation from Firstpick, NGL Ventures, Heartfelt, BADideas, and Purpose Tech.
  • Tingit plans to expand its AI-powered repair platform across the EU, grow its network of repair specialists, collaborate with fashion brands and e-commerce platforms, and further digitize and streamline the repair process for users.
