Turkey- and UK-based game tech firm Mission Control Games has announced its launch alongside a $4 million seed funding round led by General Catalyst. The studio aims to build new casual puzzle sub-genres rather than replicate existing formats.
- Launched in 2026 by co-founders Kıvanç Okutur and Murat Gürel, both former members of the Merge Dragons team, Mission Control Games develops mobile casual puzzle games.
- The studio focuses on creating new gameplay systems through rapid experimentation and AI-assisted development, aiming to deliver dynamic, evolving player experiences built on simple rule-based mechanics.
"We couldn't find a company that fully matched how we wanted to build games, so we decided to build the one we'd want to work for. Mission Control is a small, highly empowered team built for speed. Our ambition is to become the largest mobile gaming startup with the smallest team, where exceptional people take ownership and create magical experiences for players," Mission Control Games' founders, commented on LinkedIn.
