London-based manufacturing technology company CloudNC has raised $20 million in a funding round led by Nimble Ventures, with participation from Calculus Venture Capital, Entrepreneur First, and LM Ventures, Lockheed Martin’s venture capital fund. The round brings CloudNC’s total funding to $128 million.
- Founded in 2015 by Theo Saville and Chris Emery, CloudNC develops AI software for CNC machining. Its flagship product, CAM Assist, helps machinists automate parts of the programming process, including machining strategies and toolpath generation.
- The company’s technology is used by more than 1,000 machine shops globally, including customers such as Lockheed Martin and Major Tool and Machine.
- CloudNC is preparing to launch Quote Agent later in 2026. The product uses AI to automate quoting and estimating for machining jobs, helping manufacturers assess new work and respond to customer inquiries more quickly.
Details of the deal
- The fresh capital will support wider adoption of CAM Assist, expansion across existing and new markets, and the development of additional AI products.
- CloudNC will also strengthen its go-to-market operations, customer support, and partner network as it expands commercially. In the US, the company is working with Knox Systems toward FedRAMP certification for CAM Assist, which would support its use by government agencies, defense contractors, and other organizations handling sensitive manufacturing workloads.
