German startup Resourcly raises €2.7M to revolutionize manufacturing inventory

Mannheim-based, AI-driven industrial tech startup Resourcly, which focuses on manufacturing and supply chain optimization, has secured €2.7 million in a seed funding round led by Project A to expand its operations across Europe.

  • Established in 2023 by Helena Most and Ian Draxten, Resourcly develops software that helps manufacturers unlock value from hidden and complex inventory.
  • The platform harmonizes siloed data, identifies duplicates and interchangeable parts, and creates unified datasets to reduce inventory complexity. It also enables resale and sharing of excess stock, turning idle inventory into working capital.
  • Using AI-driven similarity and complexity analysis, Resourcly recommends qualified alternatives, standardizes parts where possible, and increases availability. Customers report up to 15% improvement in working capital, lower costs, and greater operational resilience.
  • Resourcly works with clients including Sandvik, Kärcher, Schwäbische Werkzeugmaschinen, and Optima, and partners with Campus Founders, EIT Community Supernovas, Techstars, and Start-up BW, combining human expertise and AI to optimize procurement and support sustainable manufacturing.

Details of the deal

  • The seed round was led by Project A, a Berlin-based VC firm that recently raised a €325 million fund to back European startups at the pre-seed and seed stages.

"We led their €2.7M seed round because this is the kind of operational edge the sector needs: built by founders who know the system from the inside," Project A's team, commented on LinkedIn.

  • The investment also saw participation from FIEGE Ventures, D11Z Ventures, Prequel VC, and business angels including Knut Alicke, Philip Harting, and Gregor Stühler.
  • With the fresh capital, the firm aims to accelerate European expansion, advance its AI platform, and expand its team to help manufacturers unlock hidden value from existing parts inventories.
