German HR and payroll platform Personio has acquired Berlin-based spend management platform Circula, bringing HR, payroll, expenses, corporate cards, and employee benefits together under one platform, as Vestbee was informed. The acquisition makes Personio the first European platform to combine these functions and adds Circula's more than 3,000 business customers to its ecosystem. Financial terms were not disclosed.

Details of the Acquisition
- Following the acquisition, Circula will operate as Circula by Personio, with its team joining Personio. The companies will deepen their existing integration to bring HR, payroll, expenses, benefits, and corporate cards together in a single platform, while Circula will remain available as a standalone product for customers that do not use Personio.
- Existing integrations, including DATEV, will remain in place and will be further developed as the two platforms become more closely integrated.
