Copenhagen-based legal technology company Pandektes, which develops a platform for searching and analyzing legal information, has raised €13.5 million in a Series A round led by Alstin Capital, with participation from PROfounders, Scale Capital, and existing investors, as Vestbee was informed.
- Founded in 2022 by Casper Laursen and Søren Brokær, Pandektes develops a legal research platform that collects, structures, and indexes legislation, court decisions, administrative rulings, and other legal sources.
- Its platform uses AI-powered search and analysis to help legal professionals find relevant legal sources and trace answers back to the underlying documents.
- The company is currently active in Denmark, Germany, and Switzerland and serves more than 500 law firms, companies, and public institutions.
Details of the deal
- The Series A round will enable the firm to expand its operations across Europe and North America, grow its team, and extend its legal data infrastructure to additional jurisdictions.
- Pandektes also plans to make more of its infrastructure available through APIs, allowing other legal technology providers to access and build on its structured legal data.
“We have rarely seen a market like legal research, where so many end-users would like to switch their core system but historically simply couldn’t. Pandektes is building a modern data infrastructure for the entire European legal landscape that makes exactly that possible,” claims Andreas Schenk, Managing Partner at Alstin Capital.
