Copenhagen-based software startup Palette has raised €3 million in pre-seed funding led by Ugly Duckling Ventures, with participation from Emblem, Acadian Ventures, and a group of angel investors.
- Founded in 2025 by Brian Kyed, Lars Ettrup, Steffen D. Sommer, and Christian Lomholt, Palette develops software for teams using AI agents in their daily work.
- The company’s platform keeps files, knowledge, decisions, and workflows in a shared context that can be accessed by both employees and AI agents.
- Its main product, Palette Desktop, allows teams to work with AI agents including Claude Code, Codex, Gemini, and Mistral directly on their existing files and folders. Users can choose the agent suited to a particular task while keeping their company context independent from any single AI provider.
- Palette is also developing Palette OS, which brings together a shared context library, reusable AI skills, connections to company tools, and handoffs between AI sessions. The system is designed to allow employees and AI agents to build on the same company knowledge rather than keeping work isolated across separate sessions.
Details of the deal
- The startup plans to use the funding to grow its Copenhagen-based team, expand its customer base, and further develop Palette OS as it builds tools for AI-enabled workflows across teams.
