Dutch generative AI collaboration platform Orq.ai secures €5M seed round

Amsterdam-based generative AI collaboration platform Orq.ai, which enables organizations to design, deploy, and manage AI agents at scale with full control and observability, has raised €5 million in a seed funding round led by seed + speed Ventures and Galion.exe.

  • Founded in 2022 by Sohrab Hosseini and Anthony Diaz, Orq.ai develops an enterprise platform that enables organizations to build, deploy, and manage AI agents at scale.
  • The platform allows teams to design agent behaviors, workflows, and decision rules, run experiments, and evaluate performance using simulations, human feedback, or automated tests.
  • Its Agent Runtime manages real-time orchestration, multi-agent interactions, memory, tools, and streaming, while the AI Gateway and Knowledge Base handle data ingestion, retrieval, and context.
  • Monitoring and observability tools track interactions, decisions, and data flows, providing traceability, audit logs, and dashboards. The system supports deployment across cloud, hybrid, or on-premise environments, integrates with multiple models, and includes guardrails, canaries, and automated rollbacks to maintain reliability and control.

“Engineering teams don’t just need more models; they need the infrastructure to industrialize how agents are built, improved, and deployed. They want clarity on how agents behave, how data moves through their systems, and how to stay compliant as the regulatory landscape evolves. We provide them with the harness to have this control," explains Sohrab Hosseini, co-founder of Orq.ai.

Details of the deal

  • The round was led by seed + speed Ventures and Galion.exe, with participation from Curiosity VC, Spacetime, XO Ventures, xdeck ventures, Waves Capital, and GoldenEggCheck.

“AI agents are becoming the new layer of enterprise software. Companies will need a reliable way to orchestrate and govern them, and Orq.ai is building the platform that makes that future possible," claims Alexander Kölpin, Managing Director at seed + speed Ventures.

  • Orq.ai will use the €5 million seed funding to develop its Agent Runtime and AI Studio, enhance enterprise governance and compliance features, and expand infrastructure to support reliable deployment of AI agents across cloud, hybrid, or on-premise environments, helping teams accelerate production without rebuilding critical systems.
