Austria-based Ora Computing has secured €3.5 million in seed funding from Constructor Capital and Greencode Ventures, with continued backing from XISTA Science Ventures.

- The company uses an information theory–based approach to restructure and compress models so they can run more efficiently across cloud and edge hardware.
- Its technology works by analyzing the trade-off between model size and accuracy and producing optimized model variants that require less memory and GPU compute to run.
- According to the company, this can reduce memory footprint by up to 90%, cut GPU costs by more than 50%, and enable faster inference with minimal accuracy loss depending on the deployment setup.
