Belgian venture capital firm NewSchool VC has closed its first fund at €10 million to back early-stage B2B technology companies, primarily in Belgium.
- Founded in 2025 by Christophe Morbee, NewSchool VC is a solo-GP fund investing €100,000 to €500,000 in pre-seed and seed rounds. It focuses on AI, SaaS, cybersecurity, robotics, and compliance startups developing technology for traditional industries.
- The fund has already made 32 investments, with three more in the pipeline. Around 75% of its portfolio is based in Belgium, while the remainder spans Germany, the Netherlands, Norway, Spain, Switzerland, France, and the UK.
- Its portfolio includes Warren, Spotable, Cashfeed, Ravical, Donna, Dalton, Feedelity, Alice Law, Exhibitly, Talentir, and Outline.
- Beyond capital, NewSchool supports founders with go-to-market, sales, and storytelling. Morbee also brings a network of potential customers through his role as CEO of Belgian payroll and HR provider besox, which serves around 4,000 SMEs.
- The fund is backed by around 50 investors, including six family offices such as The Millers Office and Belgian entrepreneurs including Willem Delbaere and Roeland Delrue of Aikido Security, Jean-Louis Van Houwe of Monizze, and Luc Coopman of Cobofisk. Morbee contributed 25% of the fund himself.
