Dutch fintech firm Neno lands €6.6M to scale AI-native financial services across Europe

Amsterdam-based AI-native financial services startup Neno has raised €6.6 million in a seed funding round led by AlleyCorp, with participation from Motive Partners and Firstminute Capital.

  • Founded in 2026 by Nick Knuppe, Neno provides AI-native financial services for small and medium-sized businesses, combining accounting, tax, and financial administration through a unified platform.
  • Neno has developed an AI-native workspace built around a real-time agentic general ledger (AGL), bringing together data from business bank accounts, corporate cards, bill payments, and receivables. The platform uses this data to automate processes such as reconciliation and VAT preparation.
  • According to the company, its technology can make these processes up to five times faster, while customers save an average of eight hours of administrative work per month and around 20% on annual accounting fees.
  • Since launching in early 2026, Neno has grown to more than 180 customers. In July alone, the company onboarded 48 new customers, while monthly revenue increased by 55%.
  • The company operates in a European accounting market where more than half of the region’s 26 million SMEs outsource accounting, payroll, and tax services to professional providers.

Details of the deal

  • With the fresh capital, the firm will launch Neno Labs to focus on research and development in Ambient AI, while expanding its accounting, tax, and go-to-market teams and preparing to enter additional European markets in 2027.
  • Neno aims to use AI to increase accountants’ capacity rather than replace them, automating administrative tasks so accountants can support more businesses without compromising advisory quality.
