Kyiv-based Kodree, an AI-powered learning platform, has secured $10 million in user acquisition financing from financial services firm PvX Partners, as Vestbee was informed.
- Kodree is the first product from Rist Labs, a co-founding studio launched by the founders of Ukrainian edtech company Mate Academy — Roman Apostol, Anna Apostol, and Max Lysak — focused on building AI-powered B2C products for Tier-1 global markets.
- Kodree offers career-focused programs in areas such as data analytics, design, project management, and programming, enabling users to apply knowledge through real-world projects and collaborative tasks.
- Approximately 80% of the coursework is devoted to practical exercises, supported by AI-driven guidance, with progression from beginner to advanced levels leading to certificates and portfolios that demonstrate real-world experience.
Details of the deal
- The firm says it has chosen to use user acquisition financing to expand its reach in Tier-1 markets rather than pursue an equity round. The $10 million capital is structured as a non-dilutive credit facility, allowing the company to scale without giving up ownership.
- The funds will be used to accelerate global user acquisition, enhance the AI-powered platform, and deepen hands-on learning experiences for career switchers and professionals. This financing structure is typical of PvX partnerships, supporting growth while preserving equity.
