Barcelona-based VC firm Iris Ventures has closed €100 million of its €200 million IRIS Fund II, aimed at supporting purpose-driven consumer brands in beauty, wellness, nutrition, longevity, and conscious living.
- Established in 2021 by Montse Suárez, Iris Ventures is a growth equity firm that empowers a new generation of visionary founders, with a portfolio that includes leading consumer brands such as Healf, Saysh, Holistic, Biomel, Essentialist, and Artemest.
- Iris Ventures invests in growth-stage companies across Europe, the UK, and the US, providing hands-on operational and strategic support, leveraging a global network of experts, and specializing at the intersection of community, branding, innovation, and technology.
- Iris Ventures’ new fund plans to increase its average investment, deploying between €5 million and €20 million per advanced growth-stage scale-up.
- Over the next four years, the firm aims to complete 12 to 15 investments, with roughly 80% of capital allocated to European companies and 20% to ventures in the United States.
- Each portfolio company will benefit from long-term support over a five-year period, including the involvement of two Iris Ventures representatives on their boards.
- The €100 million fund was fully supported by leading European family offices connected to the consumer sector, with no public funding involved.
