Brescia-based HRtech firm Gyver, which develops an AI-powered workforce platform for electricians and industrial technicians, has secured €1.4 million in pre-seed funding from Brighteye Ventures, alongside āltitude, Vento Ventures, Zanichelli Venture, existing investor Antler, and several business angels.
- Founded in 2023 by Francesco Defendi, Leo Acciarri, and Mattia Zarrelli, Gyver is a workforce platform focused on the electrical and industrial technician sector. It has built a community of around 25,000 electricians across Europe and targets a market facing a projected shortage of about 5.8 million skilled blue-collar workers in the EU by 2030.
- The platform uses a conversational hiring system (mainly via WhatsApp), where technicians provide structured information such as experience, certifications, availability, and salary expectations, which is then converted into detailed candidate profiles for employers in sectors like energy, construction, and infrastructure.
- Gyver’s early customers reportedly include companies such as Schneider, Amazon, and Boffetti, and it currently operates as a recruitment-focused product while expanding into training, upskilling, and workforce productivity tools for electricians and industrial workers.
Details of the deal
- With the fresh capital, the firm plans to strengthen its AI hiring platform, expand its network of electricians and employers, and develop new tools for training and workforce productivity across Europe’s industrial sector.
"At Brighteye, we invest in systems helping people learn, work and adapt continuously. Gyver fits this thesis strongly, and we are excited to support Francesco, Leo and Matti alongside Vento, Zanichelli Venture, Antler and āltitude, and an exceptional group of angels as they build the workforce infrastructure for Europe’s new industrial era," explains David Guérin, Partner at Brighteye.
