Estonian AI startup bilt.me, which develops a platform for building and launching native mobile apps, has raised €615,000 in a pre-seed round led by Superhero Capital, with participation from Bolt founder Markus Villig and Lightyear co-founder Martin Sokk.
- Founded in 2025 by Uku Joost Annus, Kevin Akkermann, and Karl Kiilaspää, bilt.me enables users to create native iOS and Android apps using AI without writing code.
- The platform allows users to describe an app idea in natural language, generate the app, preview it on a phone, and publish it to the App Store or Google Play.
- bilt.me was initially started as a hackathon project focused on addressing Apple's app-testing restrictions. The company later joined ruum, a hacker space in Tallinn, where its team developed the platform further.
- Unlike AI tools focused on generating web applications, bilt.me is designed for native mobile development. The company has also built supporting infrastructure, including Bilt Payments, Bilt Cloud, and Bilt Link.
