Barcelona-based Enzo Ventures, a venture capital firm backing early-stage startups founded by Southern European entrepreneurs, has closed its second fund at €20 million, doubling the size of its predecessor.
- Founded in 2023 by Edgar Vicente and Iván Fernández Lucas, Enzo Ventures invests in founders from Southern Europe and its diaspora, including entrepreneurs who relocate to hubs such as London and Paris while maintaining ties to their home regions.
- The firm's first fund totalled €10 million and backed nearly 30 companies across more than nine geographies. Its portfolio includes Orbio AI, Murphy AI and Complaion, which have attracted further investment and grown into businesses generating millions of euros in revenue.
- The new fund plans to support Southern European founders at the pre-seed stage, regardless of where they build their companies, with initial investments ranging from €250,000 to €600,000.
- Fund II has already backed three startups, including London-based Cori Clinical and two companies based in Madrid and Zurich.
- The new fund has attracted backing from family offices in Spain, other European countries and Mexico. Around 90% of investors from Fund I have reinvested in the second fund, with some increasing their commitments.
