Frankfurt-based fintech firm Donnerstag.ai, which automates supplier receivables and detects payment discrepancies, has secured €4.3 million in a seed funding round led by Speedinvest, with support from QED Investors, Crestone VC, and several European business angels.
- Established in 2025 by Barbaros Özbugutu and Volkan Özkan, Donnerstag.ai develops an AI-powered accounts receivable management platform for suppliers. The platform consolidates data from services rendered, invoices, and payments into a central system and automatically reconciles discrepancies in real time.
- It connects with ERP, accounting software, banking systems, and other data sources, detects errors such as missing, duplicate, or incorrect items, and prioritizes them for resolution.
- The system also automates recurring financial processes, including open item management, bank matching, and credit reconciliation, providing transparency into outstanding receivables and reducing manual work. By continuously learning from transaction data, Donnerstag.ai enables suppliers to monitor cash flow, identify risks, and prevent potential revenue losses.

Details of the deal
- Donnerstag.ai will use the €4.3 million seed funding to expand across the DACH region and advance its AI-driven accounts receivable platform. The capital will support team growth, enhance the platform’s algorithms for detecting discrepancies and automating reconciliation, and streamline onboarding for new supplier clients.
