DIG Ventures closes $120M fund to back European AI infrastructure startups

London-based venture capital firm DIG Ventures, which backs early-stage enterprise technology companies, has closed its third fund at $120 million to invest in European pre-seed and seed-stage startups building infrastructure for AI-native software.

  • Founded in 2018, DIG Ventures is a venture capital firm led by Ross Mason, founder of MuleSoft, Melissa Klinger, former UK sales lead at MuleSoft, and Rytis Vitkauskas, founder of YPlan and former partner at Lightspeed Venture Partners.
  • The new fund saw support from Horsley Bridge Partners, Sofina, Hillman, and Granite, as well as entrepreneur LPs including founders of Datadog, Slack, GitHub/Entire, Nord Security, and Dash0.
  • Fund III follows DIG's second fund, its first institutional vehicle, which invested in companies including Dash0, Taktile, CUBE, Jack & Jill, and Nexos.ai.
  • With Fund III, DIG Ventures plans to back around 30 European pre-seed and seed-stage companies developing infrastructure for AI-native enterprise software. The firm will focus on areas including data, identity, compliance, and AI orchestration, and plans to lead most of the rounds it participates in.
  • The fresh capital will also enable DIG to support portfolio companies with go-to-market strategies and international expansion, including entry into the US market. The firm has already started deploying capital from the new fund.
