Copenhagen-based Acembee raises €1.1M to bring AI and sustainability to construction

Copenhagen-based firm Acembee builds an AI platform that automates energy monitoring and sustainability compliance for construction sites, has raised €1.1 million (DKK 9M) from node.vc and Kiilto Ventures.

  • Acembee develops an AI-powered platform that automates sustainability compliance and energy management for construction sites.
  • The system collects energy data from meters, utility bills, and sensors on-site, then analyzes usage in real time. It automatically generates LCA A4 and A5 compliance reports and identifies areas of energy waste, enabling site managers to reduce unnecessary electricity consumption. Reported reductions average around 40% while maintaining operational needs such as heated cabins or tool containers.
  •  The platform integrates all data in a single interface, eliminating manual spreadsheet tracking and minimizing administrative work, so construction teams can monitor and optimize energy use efficiently while staying within CO₂ limits.

Details of the deal

  • The investors in Acembee’s €1.1 million funding round are node.vc, a Stockholm-based early-stage venture capital firm that backs tech startups; Kiilto Ventures, the investment arm of Finnish chemical company Kiilto; and a group of angel investors.

“We love investing in teams that solve complex problems in industries that have been slow to change. What sets Acembee apart is how quickly they’ve moved from idea to real-world traction. That kind of momentum is rare in this space,” says Henrik Tellving, Partner at node.vc.

  • Acembee plans to use the funding to further develop its AI-powered platform, enabling construction teams to automate data collection, gain real-time insights, reduce energy waste, cut CO₂ emissions, and simplify climate reporting, essentially bringing more efficiency and sustainability to construction sites without adding extra work.
