Belgian AI-driven software platform for B2B sales teams Uman raises €1.9M

Belgian startup Uman, an AI-driven software platform for B2B sales teams, has raised €1.9 million in a round led by Holland Capital.

  • Founded in 2019 by Charles Boutens and Sven Degroote, Uman is an AI agent designed for B2B sales professionals. It integrates internal sales data with external sources like LinkedIn and company websites, leveraging data governance and generative AI to create personalized sales pitches and emails. 
  • The platform is particularly beneficial for IT, consultancy, and telecom professionals, helping them manage complex product portfolios and achieve better sales results.
  • Uman claims to serve over 1,000 sales users, generating more than 10,000 pitches, saving over 20,000 hours, and achieving over 15 million successful searches.

Details of the deal

  • The capital raised was led by Holland Capital, a venture capital firm based in Amsterdam with additional offices in Düsseldorf. The firm invests in startups focusing on healthcare, technology, and the agrifood-tech sector. Existing investors imec.istart and Seeder Fund also participated in the round.

  • The fresh funding will enable Uman to expand its AI-driven software platform and empower B2B sales teams on an international scale.

"With the investment, Uman wants to focus on its further growth. It is now time for us to leave stealth mode and put Uman on the market thanks to this investment. Not only in Belgium by the way, we also have our first customers in the Netherlands and Germany, Our focus remains Europe at the moment, but we certainly have the ambition to conquer the US as well," CTO and founder of Uman, Sven Degroote, commented.
