Polish martech edrone raises $5M to strengthen its footprint in Brazil

Polish martech startup, edrone, has raised $5 million (PLN 20 million) in a funding round led by INventures. These new funds will be allocated towards expanding both the operations and team of its Brazil branch.

  • Established in 2016 by Michal Blak and Rahim Blak, edrone specializes in developing an e-commerce CRM system that seamlessly integrates marketing automation and voice commerce capabilities.
  • According to Crunchbase's data, edrone has raised almost $11 million. The last Series A round was closed in August 2022. To date, edrone's solution has been widely adopted by a diverse range of companies, including x-Kom, Eastend, CitySport, Agent Provocateur, Tous, Wojas, Muve, and more than 500 other stores
  • INventures, a Poznań-based VC fund with a focus on strategic consulting, was the leading investor in this round. Notably, edrone marks the fund's ninth investment. The funding round also witnessed continued support from the startup’s existing investors, including Hungarian PortfoLion, German publisher Müller Medien, and Atmos Ventures, a US and Poland-based venture capital firm.
  • In 2023, edrone doubled its revenue in Brazil and doubled its efficiency in Poland, according to CEO Michal Blak. Last year, the company reached almost $7 million in ARR and is currently valued at $30 million.
  • The newly acquired funds will empower edrone to accelerate its operations overseas and to increase automation with the support of AI.
