Kyiv-based mental health platform Pleso Therapy raises $1.2M to scale across Europe

Kyiv-based mental health platform Pleso Therapy, which provides expert mental health services to individuals and businesses, has raised $1.2 million in funding from Vchasno Group, TA Ventures, and BADideas.fund.

  • Established in 2021 by Oleksandr Bondariev, Anna Lissova, Oleksii Yakubenko, and Vitalii Marchenko, Pleso Therapy develops a mental health platform that connects individuals and corporate clients with certified therapists through an online system.
  • Pleso Therapy expands by adding therapists, entering new markets such as Poland, and responding to increased demand during crises like the war in Ukraine.
  • Users start by completing an assessment test that helps match them with therapists based on their needs. They can view therapist qualifications and profiles, book sessions directly through the platform, and attend therapy via secure online video calls. All therapists are verified for education and experience before joining.
  • To date, the startup operates in Kyiv and Warsaw, and over 10,000 people have received support through the app, with more than 60,000 sessions delivered.

Details of the deal

  • The investment was backed by Vchasno Group, a Ukrainian firm that develops innovative digital products that simplify business and government interactions.
  •  TA Ventures, an early-stage venture capital firm backing tech companies in Europe and North America at pre-seed and seed stages, and BADideas.fund, also joined the round.
  • The startup will use the fresh $1.2 million funding to double down on personalized mental health care, expand into new markets across Europe, and triple its overall impact.

"This round allows us to double-down on personalized mental health care, expand to new markets, and triple our impact. Our team has made it possible by hard and dedicated work, starting from scratch in 3 countries, but managing to grow and reach new heights, and we are so grateful for everyone's contribution," CEO and co-founder of pleso therapy, Oleksandr Bondariev, commented.
