London's startup Perci Health raises £3M to scale AI-powered virtual cancer care platform

London-based healthcare startup Perci Health, which develops an AI-powered virtual cancer care platform, has raised £3 million in funding, bringing its total funding to £7.7 million.

  • Established in 2020 by Kelly McCabe and Morgan Fitzsimons, Perci Health offers an online platform where users can book video appointments with cancer specialists such as nurses, psychologists, physiotherapists, and dietitians.
  • The goal is to support patients at every stage, from diagnosis through recovery, by making expert care more accessible, especially outside of hospital settings.
  • Perci Health focuses on long-term wellbeing, helping people manage symptoms, recover after treatment, and return to everyday life, including work. Its platform uses technology to match users with the right specialists, aiming to deliver timely, tailored support.
  • Rather than replacing hospital care, Perci works alongside existing NHS and private services to fill gaps in cancer support. It partners with employers and insurers to make its services available to more people and reduce the impact of ill health on the workforce.

Details of the deal

  • The fresh £3 million funding round saw backing from Macmillan Cancer Support, Guinness Ventures, Conduit Fund, Octopus Ventures, and 35 leading UK oncologists and cancer surgeons.
  • Perci Health will use the fresh £3 million funding to expand its partnerships with employers and insurers, grow its specialist team, and scale its AI-driven virtual cancer care platform to reach more people living with and beyond cancer across the UK.

"For our team and our co-founders, this raise is more than capital, it’s a signal that something transformative is taking place in cancer care. With less than 2% of VC funding going to all-female founding teams, we’re proud to have doubled our target in one of the toughest markets in recent history," Perci Health's team, commented on LinkedIn.
