German travel technology startup YGO, which connects travel suppliers with AI agents to enable direct bookings, has raised €8 million in a Series A funding round led by Ventech, with participation from Sake Bosch, Caesar Capital and business angels.
- Founded in 2024 by Julian Kögel, Willi Ibbeken and Sebastian Kreutzberger, YGO develops infrastructure that connects airlines, hotels and tour operators with AI-powered search, recommendation and booking channels.
- Its platform structures fragmented travel inventory and makes it accessible to AI agents, allowing suppliers to offer and sell their services through emerging AI-driven channels without replacing their existing systems.
- The company aims to address the travel industry's reliance on intermediaries, such as online travel agencies, which can retain 15% to 25% of each booking. By enabling direct bookings through AI agents, YGO seeks to help travel suppliers reduce distribution costs and maintain control over customer relationships.
- YGO already works with travel companies including Condor Airlines, Bentour International and GetAway Travel Group. The company reports that it reached seven-figure annual recurring revenue within six months and has processed more than €15 million in bookings. One airline customer recorded a 20% increase in conversion rates and a 90% reduction in manual operations after adopting the platform.
Details of the deal
- With the fresh capital, YGO plans to further develop its AI platform, expand its sales and go-to-market activities, and grow its customer base beyond the DACH region, targeting both large enterprises and mid-sized travel companies.
