Ghent-based startup Tekst, which develops a process intelligence platform that maps and automates enterprise workflows using AI agents, has secured €11.5 million in Series A funding from Boston-based VC firm Elephant, with participation from Entourage VC.
- Launched in 2022 by Wouter Janssen and Tiebe Parmentier, Tekst develops an AI-driven “process intelligence” platform that reconstructs how work actually flows inside enterprises and uses that understanding to automate back-office operations.
- The company’s core product connects to existing enterprise systems such as email platforms, CRM and ERP tools, and document repositories, then analyses unstructured communication like emails and PDFs to map the real end-to-end processes behind tasks such as order handling, customer support, and approvals.
- On top of this live process map, Tekst deploys AI agents that can execute workflows, route information, and handle exceptions within defined boundaries, reducing the need for manual coordination across departments.
- In practice, the system is designed to replace fragmented, human-dependent workflows with automated execution that continuously learns from operational data, while integrating into existing enterprise infrastructure without requiring major system changes.
Details of the deal
- With the capital, Tekst plans to accelerate the development of its process intelligence platform, expand its reach into international enterprise markets, and significantly grow its team, particularly in engineering and go-to-market roles, to support broader adoption of its AI system across complex business environments.
