Wrocław-based edge AI company Surveily has raised a €2.5 million Series A round led by Industrial Impact® VC Momenta to support product development and international expansion, as Vestbee was told.
- Launched in 2019 by Wojciech Tubek and Wojciech Turowicz, Surveily develops an edge AI platform for industrial safety. The system connects to existing CCTV networks and analyzes video locally in real time to detect hazards and send immediate alerts.
- Compatible with over 95% of digital cameras, it operates fully on premises without cloud dependency. In industrial deployments, it has enabled an eightfold increase in near-miss reporting, a 90% drop in safety alerts in metal manufacturing, 95% PPE compliance in oil and gas, and a 62% reduction in incidents in logistics centers.
Details of the deal
- The Series A round was led by Momenta VC, with participation from AI‑focused Look AI Ventures, and an anticipated second close from a Polish investment fund.
“We invested in Surveily because their edge AI shifts the mindset, from safety as compliance overhead to safety as operational opportunity. The platform is built, deployed, and maintained to meet the realities of industrial environments. That combination of practicality and performance defines Industrial Impact," explains Miroslav Kriz, Principal Partner at Momenta.
- With the fresh capital, the firm aims to enhance its edge AI platform, improve real-time hazard detection, and expand deployments in the US and other international markets, serving sectors like chemical, metals, energy, logistics, and oil and gas.
