Zurich-based Rivero, a payment operations technology company helping banks and financial institutions automate complex payment processes, has secured an investment from Elevator Ventures, the corporate venture capital fund of Raiffeisen Bank International (RBI), as Vestbee was told.
- Founded in 2019, Rivero develops technology that helps financial institutions automate payment operations. Its product suite includes Kajo, a platform for payment network compliance, and Amiko, which uses agentic AI to automate dispute management and fraud recovery.
- Elevator Ventures, backed by RBI and other Raiffeisen entities, invests in technology companies across the DACH and CEE regions, focusing on Series A equity rounds. Its banking expertise and regional network are expected to help Rivero build relationships with more financial institutions.
- The investment builds on Rivero's existing growth strategy following its Series A financing. The company will continue developing its technology and strengthening relationships with financial institutions in existing and new markets.
"The team combines deep payments expertise with technology designed specifically for the requirements of regulated financial institutions. We see a strong fit between Rivero’s ambitions and our experience and network across European banking, and we look forward to supporting the company in its continued expansion," explains Maximilian Schausberger, Managing Director at Elevator Ventures.
- The partnership comes as banks face increasingly complex payment processes, regulatory requirements and fraud-related challenges. By automating manual workflows, Rivero aims to help financial institutions reduce operational workloads, improve compliance and recover funds more efficiently.
