Cambridge-based healthcare firm Qureight, which develops AI-powered imaging solutions to accelerate clinical trials for lung and heart diseases, has secured $20 million in a Series B funding round led by Molten Ventures, with participation from Hargreave Hale AIM VCT, XTX Ventures, Guinness Ventures, Meltwind, and Ascension.
- Founded in 2019 by Dr Muhunthan Thillai and Dr Sam Koshy, Qureight is an imaging technology company that develops AI-powered solutions to help biopharmaceutical companies accelerate clinical trials.
- The company provides an end-to-end imaging platform that enables researchers to manage, analyse, and interpret medical imaging data to generate more precise clinical trial endpoints.
- Qureight combines artificial intelligence, 3D deep learning models, and healthcare data analysis to identify disease progression and support the development of new treatments. Its platform automates image management and uses AI-powered biomarkers to measure structural changes in organs, helping researchers improve clinical trial design and efficiency.
- The company’s technology is currently used in areas including lung fibrosis, bronchiectasis, and pulmonary hypertension, providing insights for biopharmaceutical partners.
Details of the deal
- The investment will enable the firm to build a state-of-the-art AI imaging laboratory, expand its 3D deep learning imaging portfolio, develop new disease models for lung and heart conditions, and accelerate the adoption of its AI-powered imaging platform in clinical trials.
