NEURA Robotics closes $1.4B Series C to build global physical AI robotics platform

Metzingen-based robotics firm NEURA Robotics has secured a Series C financing of up to $1.4 billion from investors including Amazon, NVIDIA, Qualcomm Technologies, Bosch, Schaeffler, imec.xpand, Tether, the European Investment Bank, Lingotto Horizon, and InterAlpen Partners.

  • Founded in 2019 by David Reger, NEURA Robotics builds cognitive robotic systems that combine artificial intelligence, sensors, control software, and mechanical engineering to enable machines that can operate and adapt in human environments.
  • Its product portfolio includes MAiRA for industrial automation, MiPA for service and household use, and 4NE1, a humanoid robot designed for serial production.
  • The company integrates hardware and software into a unified architecture used in manufacturing, logistics, inspection, and other assistive applications, reducing dependence on fixed safety infrastructure.
  • It also operates the Neuraverse, a connected platform that allows deployed robots to share data and improvements, and is developing NEURA Gyms as real-world environments for training and testing robotic systems.
  • NEURA employs over 1,400 people from more than 45 countries and develops core technologies internally, including perception systems, motion control, materials, and embedded intelligence.
  • It reports a multi-billion-euro order pipeline and targets scaled manufacturing capacity reaching multi-million-unit production by 2030.

Details of the deal

  • The Series C will enable the firm to expand its Physical AI platform by scaling infrastructure for training and deployment, strengthening its ecosystem for connected robotics, and increasing production capacity to support global rollout.

“NEURA Robotics’ platform combines Physical AI with the enabling semiconductor hardware, such as sensors and edge compute. We strongly believe in the vision David Reger has put forward and see NEURA as the leading Physical AI and robotics company in Europe,” explains Cyril Vancura, Partner at imec.xpand.
