San Francisco-based firm Navigara, which measures and analyzes engineering team performance from code and workflow data, has raised $2.5 million from Inovo.vc, Rockaway Ventures, and QQ Capital.
- Founded in 2025 by Jirka Bachel and Peter Malina, Navigara develops software that measures the performance of engineering teams by analyzing their code activity, workflows, and use of AI development tools. The platform connects directly to version-control systems such as GitHub and GitLab, where it observes commits and related metadata without modifying source code.
- Navigara uses AI agents to evaluate multiple dimensions of engineering work, including code quality, delivery velocity, and alignment with product goals. It combines these signals into performance metrics and dashboards that allow organizations to compare teams, external vendors, and the impact of AI tools over time. The system establishes historical baselines and tracks changes after process or tooling shifts, enabling companies to assess whether engineering output is improving.
- The software is deployed inside a customer’s private cloud environment, where code is analyzed transiently in memory and not retained. Navigara reports results through automated dashboards and periodic summaries intended for engineering leadership and business stakeholders.
Details of the deal
- Navigara will use the fresh funding to accelerate product development, deepen its AI evaluation capabilities, and expand its engineering and go-to-market teams to support growing enterprise demand.
