Romanian startup Naratix secures €1M to improve AI-driven shopping experience

Bucharest-based firm Naratix, which develops AI-powered automation software for e-commerce product data enrichment and catalog management, has secured a €1 million seed investment from Early Game Ventures, as Vestbee was informed.

  • Founded in 2021, Naratix is an enterprise software company that builds automation systems for e-commerce product data.
  • The firm develops AI-driven tools that clean, structure, and enrich product catalogs by fixing incomplete or inconsistent information, generating standardized attributes, descriptions, and images, and organizing items into accurate taxonomies.
  • Its platform works by processing raw supplier data, such as spreadsheets, PDFs, and feeds, and continuously monitoring and updating it so it remains consistent across channels, marketplaces, and regions.
  • This allows retailers and marketplaces to manage large product catalogs more efficiently, improve search and filtering accuracy, and maintain up-to-date listings across multiple platforms without relying on manual data entry.

Details of the deal

  • The €1 million seed round aims to help Naratix scale its platform and expand internationally by strengthening its ability to organize and enrich e-commerce product data for better discoverability and AI-driven shopping experiences.

“Giants like Amazon have invested heavily to solve the product data problem internally. We have built the same type of solution for the entire market, addressing the most expensive and most overlooked problem in eCommerce: data inconsistency. The EGV round allows us to strengthen our scaling efforts in the United States and to grow in the regions where we are already active,” claims Chris Orășanu, co-founder of Naratix.
