UK foodtech firm Lune & Wild raises £2M to scale premium children’s food brand

London-based foodtech company Lune & Wild, which develops organic, chef-crafted baby and children’s meals, has raised £2 million from Guinness Ventures, alongside support from investors including Dr Rupy Aujla, Doug Struthers, Charlie Gardiner, Siân Parry Jones, and Harry Bloice.

  • Founded in 2021 by Lara Rodgers and Nadia Simonds, Lune & Wild is a baby and children’s food company that creates organic, chef-crafted meals and snacks designed for different stages of early childhood, from weaning through to older children. 
  • The firm produces nutritionally balanced recipes developed in collaboration with paediatric dietitians, using high-quality, sustainably sourced ingredients. Its products are made in small batches and frozen to preserve freshness, with portioning designed for convenience so parents can easily heat and serve meals at home. 
  • The business operates a direct-to-consumer subscription model alongside retail partnerships, with products also available through online grocery platforms and selected physical outlets.

Details of the deal

  • The firm plans to use the new funding to increase production capacity in order to meet rising demand, while also expanding its retail presence through new and existing partnerships such as Ocado. 
  • Additionally, It will also invest in marketing to strengthen brand awareness among parents and families across the UK and hire additional team members to support its growth.
