Copenhagen-based early-stage venture capital firm KOMPAS VC has announced the final close of its €160 million second fund, supported by investors including VKR Holding and Realdania. The close brings the firm’s total assets under management to around €300 million across two fund generations.
- Established in 2021, KOMPAS VC invests in technologies for physical industries, backing early-stage companies working to improve productivity, strengthen resilience, and accelerate decarbonisation across sectors such as manufacturing, energy, logistics, and the built environment.
- The new fund will continue this strategy, focusing on enabling technologies that can be deployed in real-world industrial environments, including industrial AI, robotics, cybersecurity, and advanced industrial software.
- The firm invests from seed to Series B, typically deploying initial cheques between €1 million and €5 million, and operates across Europe and North America.
- With Fund II, KOMPAS VC plans to expand its investment and platform teams, further strengthening its ability to support founders with industrial expertise, commercial access, and a network of corporate partners to help scale complex technologies.
