UK-based AI investment platform Itoflow has raised $2.5 million in a pre-seed funding round led by Balderton Capital, with participation from angel investors including Barney Hussey-Yeo, founder and CEO of Cleo.
- Founded in 2026 by Aditya Jha, Abinash Meher, and Dibya Jyoti Roy, Itoflow is building AI agents designed to help professional investment teams automate research and portfolio management.
- The platform adapts to each firm's existing investment approach, risk parameters, and review processes, translating them into governed workflows rather than applying a predefined investment strategy.
- Itoflow supports asset classes including equities, bonds, ETFs, commodities, and digital assets. Its agents can conduct quantitative research and backtesting, monitor portfolios, and flag material changes with supporting evidence.
- Investment teams can define their requirements in plain language and set which actions or thresholds require human approval. Institutional customers can also deploy the platform within their own infrastructure, keeping sensitive data and proprietary strategies in their existing environments.
- Itoflow is currently running pilots with hedge funds and family offices globally and is in discussions with exchanges, brokerages, and financial-data providers.
Details of the deal
- The fresh capital will be used to expand Itoflow’s engineering and quantitative research teams, accelerate product development, and support its commercial and regulatory work.
- The company’s longer-term goal is to develop self-improving investment agents that can identify new signals, assess the performance of existing approaches, and detect when an investment edge has weakened, while operating within parameters set by each investment firm.
"Aditya and the team are changing the economics of that model, giving many more investment firms access to systematic capabilities that were previously too expensive and complex to build. They combine a rare depth of quantitative trading experience with the technical ability to deliver it at scale," claims Sivesh Sukumar, Principal at Balderton.
