French company Gobano Robotics, which develops AI-driven robots for precision industrial tasks, has secured €3 million in a pre-seed round from Axeleo Capital and Bpifrance Digital Venture.
- Established in 2024 by Ziad Khoury and Roch Molléro, Gobano Robotics develops AI-powered robotic systems designed to perform highly dexterous industrial and logistics tasks.
- The company combines advanced artificial intelligence techniques, such as imitation learning, reinforcement learning, and world models, with established robotics hardware to enable robotic arms to manipulate objects with precision previously achievable only by humans.
- Gobano’s robots are capable of soft material handling, folding, screwing, assembling, and bin picking. They operate through continuous learning, refining their skills by analyzing real-world interactions and errors.
- Each deployment is customized with AI models trained to meet specific industrial requirements for speed, accuracy, and reliability. The system handles unforeseen situations by making decisions that mimic human problem-solving, allowing robots to manage tasks ranging from packing and unpacking to complex object assembly without constant human supervision.
Details of the deal
- The investors in Gobano Robotics’ €3 million pre-seed round are Axeleo Capital (AXC), Bpifrance Digital Venture, Polytechnique Ventures, Motier Ventures, Plug and Play Tech Center, and several European angels and micro-VCs.
- Gobano Robotics plans to advance its AI and robotics technology and launch its first industrial automation projects.
